Day 1!

I wanted to choose a manageable task for my first day to get started on the right foot. I was working at a lacrosse clinic today so I didn't get home until around 7:30 and I knew I would be starving so I decided to scour my pins for a quick dinner recipe.  I came across the one below and I already had everything except the chicken and cilantro so it was an easy choice.

I decided to make these very simple avocado and chicken burritos from Brunch Time Baker I forgot to take a picture but her's look better than mine would have.  They were super easy and the ingredients below are all you need! (avocado, cilantro, shredded cheese, cooked chicken and tortillas)

All you do is combined the ingredients, wrap them up in the tortilla, and cook them in a heated pan until they are golden brown.  I cooked them for just over a minute on each side.  It was a super easy and cheap meal, and it is relatively healthy.

I used the Tyson's pre-cooked Fajita Chicken Strips and would not recommend them.  The bag was $7.00 and I definite;y don't think you get your moneys worth.  Plus, the chicken strips were kind of fatty and poor quality and had some spiciness that was really inconsistent.  I would take one bite and not taste it then the next bite my mouth was on fire.  In the future I would get a rotisserie chicken and pull it apart myself or just cook up a couple pieces in the pan quickly.

I would give this recipe 5 stars for simplicity and cost, but only 3 for taste (even though that was my fault for choosing terrible chicken).

Hi!

I recently moved to Wisconsin to pursue a new job/career. I have some free time due to my lack of knowing anyone here and I've always wanted to start a blog so I figured, why not?! I also have pinned roughly 2,000 things and I've actually done roughly 2 of them. So, My goal for this year is to do, make, or buy one thing that I've pinned on Pinterest. Or, in the interest of not being too ambitious, at the very least something adult-y.

This project is against my nature because I am not naturally a Pinterest/blogger type person. I'm hoping this blog will help me feel more accountable so feel free to encourage me to keep going and disparage me if I stop!
